1. ok.........i don't even know where to begin.
   
   
   i have most of our inventory in xls files but i would like a fast and easy way for people to type in what they are looking for and be able to access what they want without opening multiple xls files. btw, i know nothing of how to make a database. I was looking at FilemakerPro but it is very expensive and i don't even know if that is what i need. the database that i would want to make would be simple and it must work in windows. i call upon the [H]orde collective mind the help me :D

2. You can create something like this in Access with Form. It is relatively easy to learn. Give it a try.
