Flight sim? ( 3 Views )

1. I never thought Id ask this ever.. But I kinda wanna play a flight sim.. I havent played one is SOO long..
   
   I want it to be a Sim where I can get on a server and dogfight with others, but no monthly fee... Anyone know of any good ones.. Earth flying preferred, but could do space.. or both..

   But I agree with the other poster, IL-2. The only thing is the game is hyper realistic. It's a little hard to ease into.

4. Plus (at least in Pacific Fighters), they have a keyboard control for everything and the means to map what controls aren't on your keyboard. Can get confusing at times, but a great sim nonetheless...

5. Hmm,
   I guess ill give it a shot..Any others.. looking for Jet style games, or Old school Wing Commander 4ish.. I might actually go get mechwarrior or something too.. not a flight sim, but a vehicular sim..

   But if you want to do multiplayer like you said, community should be a factor too. I know IL2 has a great online community, even despite it's age. I highly doubt you'll find too many people to play Mechwarrior with.

7. There's LOMAC for jets but it has a very small community and tons more bugs and glitches than PF.

8. Fighters Anthology by Jane's. You'll probably have to run it in DOSbox, but you get 5 outstanding games with a less-steep learning curve than any of the newer stuff.
