Watching TV on PC ( 3 Views )

1. I have Hauppauge WinTV-150 and I don't really have a need to record any TV or anything but I have a fairly nice LCD monitor and I would like to be able to watch TV on it. What programs should I use if I want to just use my TV-tuner card as a simple cable input and watch TV on my LCD?

2. That PVR 150 card comes with a program called Wintv that works fine. If you want to organize other media like movies and music so it can be accessed in a central location then there are various programs. Meedio is what I like and it can be found for free now, but you may have to look for a while. There is also YahooTV, basically the same thing. Both of these will allow you to record tv also if you eventually want to (works like a tivo). Sagetv is supposively very good for tv purposes, but it costs a fair amount.
