X-Qpack replacement power supply ( 4 Views )
-
Greetings all,
I'm new to the forums, but I've had my X-Qpack since October and I love it. Recently, I started experiencing random reboots and disk errors at start up, which became more frequent. I suspect the power supply is failing at this point, and I'm not about to deconstruct my system to send it back.
I'm curious as to which power supplies in the 350+ watt range will fit comfortably within these cases without modding the case to get the power supply in there. I realize that it's a tight fit, or I'd have already replaced it.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure how long your pioneer is but use 5.5" (depth) PSU....you should have gotten rid of the stock PSU a long time ago...ticking time bomb

I believe a few people have used the Enermax Liberty PSU as they are pretty short.

Enermax Noisetaker 420W is perfect for all of your needs, that's what I have ^_^ Much cheaper than a liberty as well and just as beefy and reliable, also the dual 80mm fans are > a singe 120mm

Thanks, everyone.
The Enemax Liberty 400W actually works out cheaper than the Noisetaker with Newegg's free shipping, so what with the active PFC and modular cables, it seems like a good choice. It gets good reviews at Newegg, as well as those here.
And yeah, the stock PSU was/is a ticking time bomb. I wish I'd had less faith in it.
Photos to come, once I have the new power supply and work a bit on cable management inside the case.
Thanks again.

coolermaster 550 realpower. or rosewill 450 (atx2.01 version) which is a great psu for less than $40 at newegg. or sunbeam nuuo, nvidia sli certified, modular, fits in qpack, and usually less than $80.

I'll keep those in mind. I'll probably be building another SFF for my stepkid this summer, so I can swap out the Enermax Liberty if I need to. I'll check out the dimensions on that Sunbeam.
