Cannot share sub folders in My Documents, strange! ( 2 Views )

1. I can share teh whole my documents folder but not sub folders in it, if i click on a sub folder, i dont even get teh sharing tab! what shall i do?
   
   Im running Windows XP Professional Edition SP2 (Corporate)

   No need to share subfolders again and make repeated shares. Just go to advanced button on the permissions tab...replace permissions on child objects after reviewing the settings in the window.

4. If you must share subfolders, don't do it from the link on the start menu or desktop. Instead, browse to it under Documents and Settings using Explorer or My Computer and share from there.

6. The only time the tab should be missing is if you enter the folder using an OLE reference instead of a normal file system reference.
   
   Do the following:
   
   1. Click Start
   2. Select Run
   3.Type c:
   4. click OK.
   5. Drill down to the desired folder in C:\documents and settings".
   6. Right click
   
   No share tab, do the below, otherwise you are finished.
   
   1. Open the folder to be shared
   2. Copy the path from the address line (assuming the full path is displayed)
   3. Launch the "computer Management" control panel.
   4. Click the "+" in front of "shared Folders"
   5. Right click on "Shares"
   6. Select "New File Share..."
   7. Paste the path to the directory in the share folder wizard and create the share as desired.
