NOD32 vs. Kaspersky ( 2 Views )

1. I have never tried Kaspersky, some say it's good, but how good is it compared to NOD32?
   
   I've used NOD32 for 2 years now and never had a problem, and I never feel I have an antivirus on my system as it barely uses any resources. How is Kaspersky with teh system resources usage?
   
   Do j00 think I should switch?
   
   (money is not a problem here so dont worry)
   
   PS: I really hate teh GUI of NOD32, their support told me that they're coming out with a new version that has a new GUI which i'm waiting for.

2. WHy change it works great. There is a reason why you never had a problem with it. Why would you even need to see the gui screen? I have used them all, and I love my NOD32 and AVGFree(for clients computers)...

   That makes sense......i NEVER had a virus or a problem with it....i just install and forget that it's even running.....
   
   i just wanted to know teh opinion about kaspersky, if it's just as good, and doesn't run alot of system resources like NOD32, then i wanna change .....just for a change.......for a diff. 6. Kaspersky was a pile of junk in my opinion. I ran Mcafee Enterprise 7.0 with the spyware plug in and never had a problem. Then the guys I game with told me I must try Kaspersky its sooooo good so I got rid of Mcafee and used that. My machine ran like crap the whole time and contracted so many problems. I took it off and put Mcafee Enterprise 8.0 with spyware back on and it found 4 virus's and over 1000 spyware entries. Im sticking with Mcafee !!! Not to mention it took 3 hours to uninstall the the registry entries for Kaspersky.

7. According to an independent report Kaspersky had a higher detection rate than NOD32 (14% difference). A friendof mine had been using Avast (free) and installed Kasperksy which found 5 virus' on his machine.

   screw that shit! you keep getting pop warnnings all the time the system isn't even usable! my god! let alone the damn firewall. it wants to block every single program / service!

9. Don't install the firewall then. I have tried tons of anti-virus', including NOD32 and I always go back to Kaspersky. It has the best detection rate out of any anti-virus, I've never had any problems with it, updates are as frequent as once an hour, I like its GUI, it's basically set-it-and-forget-it, etc.
   
   Nothing beats Kaspersky, IMO.

    even the anti-virus gave me alot of warnings, i think maybe coz i ticked one of the option which alerts u for suspricious programs, but even then, it's too anoying to handle.
    
    actuall, nod32 has the best detection rate and it is the install it and forget it, not kaspersky. heh

11. Kaspersky never bugs me about anything. Also, show me one detection rate test that shows NOD32 above Kaspersky. The one Ryland posted clearly shows Kaspersky at the top (where it always is, in every test) with a 99.28% detection rate while NOD32 has a 85.66% detection rate.
    
    Kaspersky is the best in terms of detection rate. This has been proven fact in plenty of tests and cannot be argued.
