Should I OC farther? ( 3 Views )

1. Right now, I have my 3000+ @ 2.3 Ghz (stock is 2.0). The idle/load temp is 29/35, should I push it even farther, say to 2.4 on stock volt or do I need to do a volt mod.

2. No cut-and-paste answer here, we can't guarantee overclocks. Push it as far as you are comfortable, and run it through some stability tests- 3DMark, Prime95, SuperPI, etc. Generally socket754 doesn't overclock as well as 939, so you'll probably get to around 2.4-2.5GHz tops, with a voltage increase.
