Yeh...I was thinkin about maybe running a nice lightweight linux distro with iptables and apache...it could be a nice low-power alternative to my current web server/firewall.

  8. Yea, but can you play BF2 on it?!

    :p j/k, nice find!

It might have sold out. You could find it by searching for "5200" before. I clicked through an affiliate to get a small % back from fatcash, and had to add it that way when i ordered this morning.

  13. Wow, damn, if anyone got in on this and actually gets them, and may have ordered a few more than they really wanted or needed, please do not hesitate to send me a PM, I could definitely use 2 or 3 of these.

Yea I bought one off you I think and you were using them for that. Those were neowares with 800 via chips in them though. Too bad mine got killed by a power surge at a friends house.

  15. I got my 2 terminals today. They came in brown Max Speed boxes with a CD, 2 instruction papers, AC adapter, stand and power cord each. I need to install Win2K AS later to play with them.

The sticker on the bottom claims a 3 year warranty and the terminals look new. :D

It's a little frustrating that the warranty stickers are over the screw holes on the back. I'll have to void the warranty later than sooner...

ehh..30 bucks..who cares about the warranty?? did you crack one open yet?? anything interesting on the inside? mine is due to arrive on thursday..so i'm still waiting.

  17. No, I haven't opened one yet.

I'm using one of these terminals now with a program called WinConnect Server XP from www.thinsoftinc.com . It supports terminals and remote desktops from regular Windows XP. It's only a 7 day trial though and this version is $299. :( Speed is pretty good over a 100Mbps connection. I'm even watching the newegg flash ad streamed over the network. :p

Edubuntu is a good free alternative for non-Windows apps. I wish i had bought more of these things now.
