evga 7900gt sc, aka, Mr. Freeze ( 1 Views )

1. I bought the evga 7900gt sc about two weeks after launch and it's got this famous freeze problem everyone's raving about on the evga forums. In 3dmark05 and the Condemned game it consistently freezes soon after either of these programs are run. The freeze lasts a few seconds. Sometimes it's followed by wild artifacts and sometimes not. If I exit either program and re-start the program, I get no freezing or artifacts. WTF?! If this is a hardware problem from poorly binned chips, why no freezing or artifacts when the programs are re-started. I'm confused. :confused:
