Damn I have stolen necromancers moon sold it (I think) and now I need it for a quest ( 5 Views )

1. Mages guild quest. I must have stolen it because I can´t find it and it´s supposed to be just sitting on a desk...
   
   Don´t steal much books generally only if they are worth 200 gold or more. Now Is there a faq with all object IDs so I can respawn it?

2. You can probably find it in one of the bookstores, wherever you sold it, or just lying around somewhere. I'm fairly sure I've come across that one a couple times. If it's something important you typically can't sell it.

   I've noticed that myself. I picked up--at some early point--a "Broken Shield." Since it seemed to be of little value to me I attempted to drop it, but the game popped up with, "You cannot drop quest items" or somesuch.

7. There was an armor clad nord in a broken down fort once that dropped a magical mace.
   
   Started a quest to return it to his wife....no clue where she is..... :(

8. Yup. Any item essential to completing a quest cannot be dropped or sold. Which is great because it was a massive problem in morrowind for me.
   
   The only time i was worried in Oblivion is when i got a quest to retrieve some armour from a family tomb, which i had already found and sold. So i figured 'oh god no!' but i was ok since there was another way to complete the quest. I do have around 15 items i have collected that relate to quests. Cant drop any of them but not bothered since they weigh nothing

9. Yeah I didnt start the main quest before I played like 50 hours or something. Guess if I still had Caius package by then :D
   
   btw I hadn´t sold it it was just in the first desk behind the door and I who searched 10 minutes easy for it looking at every single book and behind the bed and everything :rolleyes:
