2/22 Problems continue

Problem Continue:
He said the card unlocked 16x6. He GUARANTEED it. I can't get this beeotch past 12x6. I have to UNDERclock it to get that. It now needs to be RMAed because trying to unlockit F'ed it up somehow, it barely runs at all. He won't respond to my e-mails, phone calls, PM's nothing. He was on at 9:00 this morning, with 3 or 4 PM's waiting. Has anybody heard from him????????

About three weeks ago I ordered a 6800OC from him. The initial deal was that he would send item when I gave him a tracking number for the moneyorder I'd be sending.

I got him the Tracking number on Tuesday, January 24th. There was about 4 or five days that I didnot hear from him...and Finally got a response.....He said he was including an nV5 Silencer to make up for his delay ( STILL hasn't been shipped). I was like, "okay thats cool". He said he shipped it out Via UPS Ground last wednesday, and UPS said 2 Days Guaranteed on their site. No DC Number nothing..... So to Recap:
I ordered a 6800OC.
Agreed he would ship when I sent Money.
Was about a week late, FINALLY got ahold of him, would send with Nv5 Silencer.
Been 3-4 days past when Item SHOULD have been here, nothing.

UPDATE: I recieved a Package, from the otherside of the country, via the SAME sevice today. It was sent the same day (Shoguyver alleges) that my video card was.

Just want to let you know he is for sure lying about not affording tracking. Tracking is standard with all items shipped via UPS. It costs nothing more.

You may want to research that a little more, tracking is not included with all the carriers you listed.

It is however included with UPS.

I never ship UPS, So I dono. But I did PAY for USPS Priority with a tracking number, and I ended up getting UPS GROUND two-three weeks late. Its unnecessary for him to be doing this.

I have just recently traded with someone here and I shipped 2 games that came out to be a little over 5ibs. he is bsing you, though I shipped USPS and it came out to be $5.15... i also went to UPS store where they do include tracking on their ground service and my package was going to cost me $6.25 or something like that through UPS. Just note that he sure is lying about the price.

What ever you do, open the package with at least two witnesses if you can get them. Take pictures of the package so that if the items are not what you bought, you can file a grievance.

I only have a cheap-o web cam, but i can get clear enough pics with it. I will be sure to have 2 witnesses. Thanks for all your help. Its scheduled to arrive in the AM, so we'll see then.

If its guaranteed by the seller to unlock, then thats a point of the sale. Having a card unlock or not has nothing to do with the rest of the system, therefore its easy to smell BS on the deal.
That fact that it now needs RMAed should be the sellers bill.

hardware comes at speeds that are guarenteed by the manufacturer
if you try to run past those speed and it wont or you kill it then you own it

the seller cannot guarentee anything to OC

I agree with locutus...you should take this up with the original seller if he guaranteed the overclock...Neither he or you should rma it to the manufacturer...the Manufacturer did not guarantee the overclock and if either you or him killed the card while overclocking, you guys owned it...so although he should give you the money back or something to rectify the discrepancy in overclockability, you essentially did a wrong thing by rmaing to the manufacturer...hence locutus' "theft" accusation.

He GUARANTEED the unlock. NOT Over clock. That was the point of sale. If I get guaranteed something, it should work. This is not something that is YMMV. Thee pipes either work or they dont. He said they work.

Well I unlocked it, as he said it would, and now its messed up. It barely runs, no matter WHAT system I put it in. So if you were sold something that does not perform how you are told it would, wouldnt that upset you?

If i was sold a 16x6 card, and it wont do 12x5, how is that my fault? I'm just not seeing eye-to eye with ya guys.

I HAVE to RMA it, it now artifacts no matter what the clocks are. The "Guaranteed" Unlock isn't happening.

I can see WHERE you're coming from. But still. If I am sold something that allegedly does "x" and it doesn't do "x"..........then he messed up on his end. I guess I shouldn't have bought from a 14 year old.

Too bad I was selling it like a week after you bought his. From what I hear though, the new owner its running great unlocked and overclocked. I can agree with others saying that once you got the card and it died it is your fault but if it did what it was supposed to when it was sold to you which was unlock perfectly it shouldnt have died. Might have it pushed it too hard regardless. Im kind of torn because you have the right to be pissed but these other ppl have points too. Of course if this kid is 14 as you claim I doubt he cares and based on how long it took you to get the actual card, your shit out of luck with him. Either way..sounds like you got a poop card.

I would GLADLY do another transaction with ya! But you offered AFTER (two weeks) i sent payment to him, and (2 weeks) before he decided to ship it.

I dono.....It just IS odd that If im told something will do something, I want it to. Oh well. I guess that's what I get for dealing with someone who's mommy decides what he can and can't sell.

the seller might have embellished to make the sale but you fell for it and got a WORKING CARD then killed it and want your money back.
That should not be an issue as you killed the card yourself

I agree with Locutus, the guarantee on overclocking or unlocking cannot be honored since it depends on the hardware and the ability of the buyer to do the unlocking/overclocking. You may have unlocked with the wrong method, thus breaking the card and such.

IMHO, you should be grateful to get a working card in the first place.
