I would wait for the new Arctic Cooling ATI Silencer to come out. There's supposedly one slated for release that will work with all the X1000 series cards.

Yea could be a good choice especially if it exhausts the hot air.
I think i will hold on for this

k. no water for me. SN25P is a wee tight for such solutions lol. wait for silencer roger.

if by new ATi silencer you mean the accelero x2 then you should look for other coolers because the x2 takes in air instead of blowing it out however it does give good cooling performance but if you want it to exhaust hot air from outside the case look elsewhere or maybe the x2 is not the new ATi silencer?
gg run on sentence

I shopped the xoxide site earlier for a cooler for my powercolor 1900XT that should be here within the week, I want a zalman type cooler but they dont have one. alls they have are the artic coolers and I have never had much luck with them so when I get mine I am going to make sure there is good TIM on it and if not I am going to put some formula 5 on. If you run into anything good post it.

Really? I currently have a Koolance-Al and I was going to buy the X1900XTX this comming weekend. I was worried about using my Koolance GPU-180 on the card though because with the stock heatsink I noticed the RAM was being cooled as well. I dont want to spend 500+ on a nice new card, void the warranty by removing the cooler, then install the GPU-180 only to find that my vram has sizzled under the cheap little aluminum heatsinks after the first benchmark. I called Koolance's tech support regarding the issue and they informed me that they will be releasing an all in one (gpu/ram) cooler for the x1k series radeon cards. Should I wait for that..? or just cool the card the old fashioned way with the GPU waterblock/little heatsinks.

The new VF-900Cu should be a pretty good cooler. When it comes out.

I am just patiently waiting for the release of the accelero X2 so I can put that puppy on my X1800XT. I am tired of hearing the vacum cleaner fan on the stock cooler. :p

I would get a mini Water loop. Here are my plans.
Maze 4
Swifty DDC 12volt 3/8 pump
80mm Swifty Micro 80mm rad Single Pass
T-Line
Run the fans in push-pull and at 7 volt or so, small, its future proof, and is slient. Should keep temps under controll without cluttering my case, and I can use it with future gpu's. Also have the abilty to dunk rad in a Ice bath and get some nice runs :D

That accelero x2 looks like a bad idea blowing piping hot air into the motherboard!! I would not suggest that cooler. Wait for the Zalman vf900
