X-Fi, keyboard mute' key & 'volume' key help ( 2 Views )

1. I finally got around to installing my X-Fi. Sound is great and all - so far very stable (suprised, as I always have stability issues with new hardware heh).
   
   However, my keyboard's volume dial and mute key no longer work :(
   This is 'product breaker' for me, in that, if I can't get them to work - I am going to return my X-Fi.
   
   Any tips on how to get these keys to work again? I've tried on both a logitech wireless and a microsoft wired keyboard, neither of them will work.
   All the other multimedia function continue to work.
   The volume/mute keys worked properly on my nforce2 mobo sound card.
   
   I tried searching on the creative forums - only found 2 answers
   1: They won't work
   2: You have install a 3rd party macro program & reprogram the keys - of course consuming more system resources in the process.
