Is there such a service? ( 8 Views )
Hey everyone. I was just wondering if anyone knows of an online service where you can input a domain to be checked for availability every so often, and if it's found available they'll register it? Anyone?

Also give NameProtect.com a look.

What about doing it on the core servers? Might be 2 days though ebfore it picks it up (you are searching for records of domains registered that way, not available domains). Kinda backbuttockswards I suppose. Nevermind.

It was myself that mentioned I had a script that could do the job - but it is very risky because it is a breach of the terms and conditions of nearly every registraar is you repeatadly request whois on a particular domain. In most terms and conditions it actually mentions that it is a breach to run an automated agent to do such a task.
All the above are the reasons that we never deployed our service.

" Eye On Domain" has a $$ online/email watch for expired domains :eyes: in addition to anything domain related to their $15 registrar service!

I recall that someone in these forums said they have a script that can do just what you are looking for... reason I remember is because I was looking for the exact same thing several months ago. You could probably search my posts (way back to several months ago) and find the thread. Hope it helps. :)

Yeah, I know all that as well 123finder.com :) I figured since there are services that monitor when a domain is registered, there might be a service that tells you when it becomes available...

Justin, so like a monitoring service? I don't know of any but it sounds to be quite tedious, if the domain is registered, at least a whole long year it could be released!

Yeah, I know all about that termONE. But I'm looking for a service that specifically does what I'm asking for...

not that i know of. the only thing i know to do is just go to a site that lets you search domain names easily and check every so often. chances are if you want a domina name thats already taken your not gonna get it unless you purchase it from them and thats gonna cost some bucks..
joker.com registers domains for 12-14$$$ wow thats great hey..and yes i do know more then one person that has purchased from them and everything seems to of went well. and continues to do so...

Thanks for the link Marc! But I think they're just for people who want to monitor unregistered domain names, not registered ones. Anyway, I've writing my own script right now that will solve my problem. Thanks for all the replies :)
