XFX 7800 GT - 77 C under load...too hot? ( 2 Views )

1. While playing WoW I noticed some heat coming from under my desk...so I checked the temp in nVidia Monitor...everything looked good, and in Rivatuner I saw 77 C for the gpu temp...seems a little high. What do you all think?

3. It's an OK temperature for a GPU. Once you start going into the 90's and 100's I would start to get a little worried. ;)

5. my xfx 7800gt would high 60's and low 70's with a zalman cooler, stock was not much different. now load is no more than 36-39 on load with watercooling :P

7. Thats really low. My old BFG 6800GT would hit almost 120 under load!

9. Not normal. My similar EVGA card does 64 on load.

10. Volucris you running something like rthdribl(windowed) with the temp window right next to it? The second you quit a program the temps drop 10-15C.
    
    When I ran my GTXs on the stock cooler I hit around 80C with them, I'd say your fine.
