Best value SLi motherboard? ( 2 Views )

1. Hi all!
   
   I'm looking to build a new computer and am looking to get a half decent SLi mobo (yea i'm a gamer ^^). I'm only looking to set a Athlon64 3200 processor onto it or at most a 3500 if the cost ratio for the extra oomph is justifiable. At the moment the 'ECS KN1 Extreme SLi' is looking very appealing, although it does have a fairly heavy price on it. I think i'd say thats the most I'd like to spend on JUST the mobo. So any suggestions for a motherboard that is around that price range, cheaper the better as long as it doesnt sacrifice on performance and features too much. Things such as 500billion USB ports are of no use to me, I get along just fine with 6, of which i've only ever managed to use up 4 of them at any one time. I definitely don't need 7.1 sound, 5.1 is more than enough for me since right now i'm using a 2.1 setup so 5.1 would probably dazzle me enough already haha. Anyway, If it helps i plan to have:
   
   2 SATA hard drives
   2 optical drives
   1GB Ram
   1 GPU initially, eventually upgrading to 2 GPUs if the motherboard I purchase has SLi capabilities.

5. Ooh yea i forgot to mention...i'm in the UK haha, hmm but i'll have a look at newegg.com nonetheless :) maybe they do international shipping...and it they do I hope i still qualify for that offer....free mobo....don't get deals like that in England ¬_¬ bloody British stingy buggers..haha

7. DFI Infinity SLI (although it is stuck in x8/x8 operation...no x16/x1 at all). Epox 9NPAJ SLI. Abit KN8-SLI. I'd go with one of those three probably if I was choosing a budget board.
