Cool Ram with lights! ( 2 Views )

1. I saw two Ram slots with these lights on it... they were like greeen to red or something at Fry's... where can I get those things? I can't find it anywhere?

6. Damn it, Now I really want that since I have crappy ram... I think that's why my system freezes and crashes a lot... I have cheap kingston ram and it probably overheats or just blows!!
   
   I am actually Torn between getting this or a 4000+ s754 Newark, but then I'd still have shitty Ram.

   It might be that your overclock is not stable.
   
   Memtest the memory before you declare that the culprit.

9. Well, I actually put everything back to stock speeds and it all runs cool as far as I can tell... I don't know how hot the RAM is getting, but it still does the lock ups once in a while. Maybe it might have been damage from overclocking... ?
   
   Also, I ran Memtest and it didn't find any errors! :-( *sniff*

10. More power to you, but I just can't see spending $120 extra for some LED's or even the programmable LED's. That's like a whole step up in the video card department :).

11. I think the ones with the Activity Indicator lights are cool but the ones with the scrolling text are a waste because they don't come in a Low Latency model.

13. The Corsair 3500LL come with activity lights, they are the "recommended memory" for the Asus A8N32-SLI they are 2x1GB

    prime95? windows memtest? superPI 32m? does it only crash during gaming? which game is it? how are the voltage rails on your psu?
    
    there's a lot more to stability than just memtest. it could even be a virus or something corrupted in windows ;)

17. I used windows memtest... Like I would wake up in the morning and turn on the computer and it will just freeze right after it shows the windows logo...
    
    or it would be running and I would be playing online and then it would freeze and then reboot. :-( My rails are doing pretty good, I am not really sucking the life out the computer... I don't think. But yeah, it's just random. I could go for a week and it runs fine. I think it's posessed. :p

20. 30 minutes ^_^ I only have two RAM slots on my mobo and each one has 512 on it. Does it matter if I run them both in it at the same time or should I put one in each slot and then take the ram out and do it to the other one? Hmm... I know a good ammount of computers, but I still so much more to learn... hence my name!! Noobtech ^_^
