Mydomain.com problems? ( 6 Views )

no kitty!
  1. Has anyone else using the forwarding service by MyDomain.com been experiencing problems lately? I noticed that their site underwent a huge upgrade, so it could be a little bit of downtime for the sites they manage, but could someone take a peek and tell me if

    http://www.collegetec.com/intstudies

is a problem on my end or on MyDomains? It turns the address into just http://intstudies which is really strange. I'm not sure what could be causing that...

    Thanks for your help :)

  2. Yep, there's been a problem lately. Most of my domains are using their forwarding service but they don't work several times a week, I'm starting to dislike them.

  3. eMail their tech support with your concerns. It can range from a one time problem or bug regarding maybe one domain or it can be something that is affecting their entire service of redirection. MyDomain appreciates any & all feedback, as any quality website should, because they can only correct things that they are made aware of.

Any upgrade can often cause delays & frustrations ~ it definitely doesn't make for a good first time impression for those that just signed on! MyDomain has had a good track record for me, so maybe I am a little more patient...

I always recommend "contacting & asking" the tech support before dropping or lowering your opinion about any web service..

  4. Overall they are fine (I do recommend them), although, as with many free services, they do have problematic periods now and then.

  5. You also might want to check out my comments & others posted in this "SitePoint Forum Thread" -- it starts with 000Domain questions but ends with comments about recent developments at MyDomain ~ :D

I do recommend their redirection services, but if you have any concerns just email MyDomain!

:wavey: That was then ~ You need to check out MyDomain today!

The reason for that referral was because they were upgrading their server to accommodate the increased number of domains hosted and although it take quite awhile they are now back up & running with their redirection features...
