there has been a LOT of bad review on the recent ASUS boards... stay away!

They are buggy and hell, glitchy and just plain crappy. Sure they got a lot of "features", but half the feartures don't work or crash the entire system.

I used to LOVE Asus, but the honeymoon is over... all the lastest boards they have been putting out are nothing but stinky piles of crap... they have went down fast and rush SLI and there other stuff to market (RAID controller, NICs, etc).

Cheap parts and bad drivers. BIOS makes boards suck even with lastest updates. I've had about 5 differant ASUS boards [of differnat models] in the last 2 months and only 1 of them worked even halfed-assed enough to make a "stable" system... I _only_ had to disable NIC and not use the RAID and update the BIOS 4 times to get it to work.

    STAY FAR AWAY

ASUS == Amazing Sucky; Utterly Shitty

  8. I think i'm getting the ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 MoBo, Most of the comments on The Egg are re-assuring and I've read mostly good things here at [H]. :D Deffinatly seems like a the way to go if your not worried about SLi just yet.
