Does the 2005fpw scale well at lower resolutions? ( 1 Views )

1. Im most likely going to be using it for gaming, but i dont plan on really upgrading my comp for a while (atleast a year or so). As such, ill have to knock things down to 1024*768 instead of 1680*1050. I know it will have black bars or can stretch, but (non stretched) does the image look good? Is interpolation very evident?

2. I run at 1280x800 with a 6600gt and the rest of my hardware in sig. You should be fine at that res.

3. It's way more evident at say...television resolution than say, 1280x800.
   
   I'm running a 9700 non-pro with less machine than you are and I'm doing fine at native res, so don't even worry about anything but native res. If it's too slow, then and only then crank it down.

   It's decent. Then again, it will never be perfect because of that inherent limitation of LCDs. CRTs do not have this problem.
   
   I'm serious when I say that it's not a big deal to run at native resolution. If you can play a lot of games with 16x12 now, 1680x1050 will actually be faster in that it is actually ~10% less pixels your card has to push.
   
   You could also get a widescreen CRT if you're a little too OCD about the scaling.

6. I was wondering about this too. I'm planning on getting a 19" LCD w/ native res. 1280 X 1024 but I like to run my games @ 1024 X 768.
