Problem with seller ( 2 Views )

I'm having some trouble with snoops from this thread. http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=967967
At first, I bought the first system and he recieved his payment and I got the computer the next week. However it didn't work, so I called him and we went through multiple things that would cause the problem because he said he had it working before it shipped. Never got it working so I said I would call him back in a few days to see if I could get it working. Still was not able to do so, so I called him again and he said I could pay a difference from the second system and he would mail that one and I would mail the defected one back to him because it was insured if something did happen(which it did). I said yes to that and he said he would ship it the next day which I believe would be the 8th if I remember correctly. Said he would give me the shipping details and the tracking number that day as well. It's now the 18th and I have not recieved the tracking number, shipping details, or the computer which he said would be here by this week. He also does not return any of my phone calls or PMs. I would assume he is in the middle of moving and very busy but he has checked these forums more or less every day and I don't understand why he hasn't taken a minute to PM me back or call to tell me what's going on. Seems like a nice guy but not really sure what to do at this point.

No one got scammed! I had to leave last minute to Seattle this past week to see my Dad who is suffering from a heart condition. Sorry about that but he comes first. I have had no access to internet and I do not have my cell phone with me. I sold the computer in good faith and it was in working condition when it shipped. I spent over a hour and a half on the phone helping him troubleshoot the problem and numberous calls since. I dont know many people that would go to that extreme to help. I also offered to ship him my other system since I felt so bad that the first one wasnt working for him. Sorry about the week delay. I hope you can understand in between moving and my dad why the delay. I will ship on Monday with tracking number and I still need the other system back since it was shipped insured. Sorry again for the confussion and I would appreciate if you guys could go easy on me.

No. Lights flash(CDRom-Floopy), fans will spin, then its all back off. All happens within a second.

CPU or ram...from my experience at least. Have you tried removing the ram to see what happens? See if the power stays on longer...
Could be the MB...
anyways, good luck...these things are disheartening, turn power on, briefly something and then all off...sinking feeling
