Alcohol 120 and Backing up Games ( 2 Views )

1. I want to backup my DOOM 3 CDs, but Alcohol 120% just gives me a bunch of read errors (set on SafeDisc 2/3). Why is this.
   
   Using Plextor PX-740A.

2. I personally never liked A120. I use CloneCD for backing up CD's.

4. Doom 3 doesn't even need the CD.

5. Thats not my only problem now. This morning the drive refused to open. I rebooted, Windows took forever to load. The drive is working fine now, but when it's in Windows takes forever to load, and when it's not Windows loads normally. Can anyone help?

6. once you find your copy protection that the original disk has, the alcohol 120 forum says to allow the errors to pass and they will eventually go away and the image process will do its job...but we dont discuss backing up our software here.
