Call of Duty 1 problem ( 2 Views )

1. My friend uninstalled the game and when he inserts the install disk, the computer still shows the game as needing to be uninstalled. Basically the computer thinks the game is still installed, but there is no evidence that this is the case. Any advice on how to solve this problem? Thanks.

2. search for registry w/regedit, for "call of duty" and delete anything that has call of duty in the name
   
   my friend had to do the same thing for BF2
   
   also do a regular search in files and folders on drive c or whatever drive it was on for "call of duty" and "cod"
