HostRocket Affiliates Out There? ( 8 Views )

Anyone an active HostRocket affiliate? I'm just wondering if you've made any sales in the last month.

I used to do very well with selling HostRocket through ads on my sites and emails. Since mid June I've sent them about 250 clicks via email ads for their sales and banner adverts...yet have registered no sales. 0% CR considering their recent sales is just boggling my mind.

According to them, the sales should be registering with commission junction if they're being made, even on the 'giga sale' plans. If it's just me, why?!?!?!

3 day giga sale? I've been checking out hostrocket for weeks, and i've never gone when their "3 day giga sale" wasn't over..

It hasn't been there since the 4th of july one (which wasn't taken off the site for at least 3 days after the 4th). Then it went back to the "economy special" they always run which is not as nice an offer as the giga sale. They didn't use to run them as often, but I guess they're working. The offer is very tempting.

Not as if HostRocket is the only one to do this either. GlobAt.com's limited time offer auto updates each day to add a day to the date.

I can't say it's HostRocket. I send just as many people to globat as hostrocket now, mostly from outside my site with banners though.

I just must be on my worst luck streak ever with commission junction --

1,044 clicks on CJ advertisements, 1 sale.

Meanwhile my luck is running great with AdSense -- my CTR the past three days is double my average.

By the way Timothy, can I assume this 3 day sale will last a long time now that you've added banners for it? I would hate to run an ad by email for example and have people show up to the site the next day and the sale not be there.

Although it's not yet, we're likely going to just make the "Giga Sale" permanent. Customers love it and we are always striving to underscore the word value so it seems like something that would work well all around.

Another Giga Sale time to make my own ads again.

I made my first sale of a GlobAt.com hosting account from a skyscraper ad this week, but I'm not all that into the host themselves and I'd rather push one I'm behind. HostRocket aint perfect either but it's a great deal for what you get and I like the people behind the company better. 0 sales in over 150 clicks this month for HR, maybe another good sale will change it!

As I said before, I will see what I can do about getting some new ads up and running. Someone will begin working on that fairly soon.

We'll contact CJ to see why we aren't receiving those messages sent via that system and we'll work ona resolution.

FuseBlast is a brand that we have acquired which targets a different market segment than our HostRocket brand. If you want to sell FuseBlast services, the commissions are exactly the same.

A lot of your ads and text links don't reflect current hosting options either...and nobody responds to mail sent through the CJ.com system :(

By the way, what is fuseblast? Why a separate site if you already offer hosting? Same commissions if I sell a fuseblast account though?

How could I check other than asking? I did check the ripoff/badbusinessbureau type sites and found no negative reports on HostRocket - I've always respected the company and their service has been great so far.

Well... I suggest you go in with the attitude that something IS wrong... then you'll be more careful :)

Why not follow one of your links and set up a hosting account? They have a 14-day money back guarantee... so put that to use.

Should you find out you didn't earn anything, well... then there are certainly problems!

Signing up under myself would only put me in violation of the agreement and risk my commission junction account - not the best way to solve things. Anyone here need a new web host? :P

Thing is it's through CJ.com and they have a 7 day EPC which means they are paying at least some affiliates...

Find someone truely interested in an account, tell them to go through you to test it, and if they like it they'll stay, if not.. they'll leave, and either way you'll find out

That does sound pretty strange, however I don't think it's system wide.

Just glancing really quickly, it looks like we've paid out about $2,200 in commissions in the past seven days which makes us the fifth best paying web hosting company on the CJ Network in terms of volume during that time period.

We're not going to defraud you in any way. That's not why we're in business and the fact that we use a third-party (CJ.Com) to track everything should reassure you some.

I hope with the new traffic my site is getting, sales might pick up.

A few comments since you're actually reading this post. I dislike almost every ad you offer on cj.com - many of them push the text of the image into a small space in a color that doesnt contrast with the background well. The text doesn't get attention. The other ads include moving fingers and look nonprofessional.

I also placed some ads for other hosting companies on my site because I have a 120x600 space open and HostRocket has no skyscraper ads. I've created my own ads to push your giga sale on some sites I put advertisements on because of the lack of what I think are quality ones at CJ.

I have kept the most impactful ad I can think of pointing to HostRocket though. A Hosted by HostRocket.com line at the bottom of every page under my copyright. If the visitors respect my site, they'll respect my choice of hosts.

Customers do love it. I can't tell you how many times I nearly shot off the ticket to upgrade to the giga sale plan despite not needing the additional space or bandwidth.
