How do Enable My graphics Card for the logo for MICROSOFT? ( 1 Views )

1. Just wondering, because my 5700 ultra , every time I install a driver it says this is not registerd logo or something like that are you sure you want to proceed? and i hit yes anyways, now is there some way I can do this what ever it is saying?
   
   Do I need to? Will this make a difference in performance?

2. no. companies often don't whql/microsoft certify drivers for older cards because MS charges a ridiculously high price for the seal of approval.

3. Just get a WQHL certified driver from nvidia then you will not get this message. However, it is no big deal and it should run fine for you.

5. WQHL is mostly for having official certified drivers to be put on the CD which come with the cards. It means really nothing in terms of performance or stability.

   The 61.77 drivers (official, off nvidia.com) aren't WHQL, at least for the 6 series.
   
   The BETA drivers 66.81 and 66.77 do have WHQL, also avaliable off nvidia.com.

8. certain drivers are WHQL'd for certain series of cards
   
   for example the 66.81 drivers are WHQL'd for the GF6 series

9. You should be able to kill that message in winxp by:
   
   [start]-->right click on[my computer]-->grab the [hardware] tab-->click on [driver signing]-->select [ignore]-->click [ok]
   
   But all that does is kill the message, the drivers are still unsigned... Not that it really matters much...
