need a new sound card for $50-60 ( 2 Views )

1. my friend is looking for a new soundcard and wants to spend the above amount. unfortunately they don't make fortissimos anymore :( but whats the best quality SC u can get thats great for both music and gaming?

6. Troll the FS/FT forum for Audigy or Audigy 2 action?

7. For gaming, Audigy2 or better. Anything else is not good for gaming, but functional.

9. Audigy LS or Turtle Beach Santa Cruz 5.1 are both decent cards. Even an Audigy 1 would be fine.

    Turtle Beach Santa Cruz is good for gaming--not the most supported of all, but good nonetheless. Also, the Fortissimo series, even with the final drivers.
