Extending a clone disk? ( 2 Views )

no kitty!
  1. I just cloned my old 40gb hard disk on one of my computers onto a 160gb hard disk using DriveImage XML under Windows XP. I rebooted after cloning the disk and taking the old hd out, and when I rebooted, it still said 100mb free. Now, when I goto disk management, it shows 153GB free, but in my computer, it shows 100mb free. I tried using DiskPart to extend the volume but it kept failing (does diskpart ever work?). Is there anyway I can resolve this?

  2. I believe Partitin Magic can do what you're talking about if I read it correctly.

  3. GParted will do it for free.
