Hey all, this will hopefully be my last post on my computer build. It appears I've OC'd to 3 ghz. Since this is my first time OCing, I wanted to show you my steps, to see if I'm missing something. It was too easy.
My build
Antec p180b (updated with 182 parts)
Q6600
Tuniq Tower Arctic Silver Paste ( Did it the way the instructions told me on their website)
Gigabyte ga - p35 - ds3r
Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800 mhz pc2 6400 44412 (2.2 v)
Nvidia 6800 ( definetely going to upgrade to 8800 shortly )
OCZ 700 Watt

Ok Here were my steps
1.Disabled C1E, MAX CPUID Value Limit, Speed Step (EIST),
2. Set PCI EXPRESS FREQUENCY to 100 mhz
3. Could not find Spread Spectrum and Disable, Nor Could I find PCI Clock Synchronization to put to 33.33 mhz (Not In Bios)
4. Disabled All Fan Fail Warning , CPU Warning Temperature, Kept Smart Fan Control Mode On Auto ( All fans full blast)
5. In (MB Intelligent Tweaker) Kept Multiplier 9X, Changed MHZ to 333, System Memory Multiplier is at 2.50, MEMORY FREQUENCY IS 800, 833 ,
6. Changed DRAM to Manual, Under CAS LAtency says 5 I put 4 ( still shows 5 though and the 4 is to the right of it), Changed DRAM RAS says 5 I put 4 ( again still shows 5 and 4), Changed DRAM Ras # Precharge 5 to 4 ( still shows 5 and 4 ), and Changed Precharge Delay (tRAS) 18 to 12, ( Still shows 18 and 12). This is 44412 right?
7. This is where I completely guessed, System Voltage Control is On Manual, I upped
+.2V to DDR OverVoltage Control, I Kept PCI-E OverVoltage Control under Normal, I changed FSB OverVoltage Control to + (.1V), Kept MCH OverVoltage Control Normal,
8. And Finally I went from Normal CPU VCore, and up above I changed it to CPU Voltage Control to 1.29375V. It booted,
On Full Load I get around 62.3 Average ( This is With Orthos and 100 Percent Total CPU USAGE), The highest Core I get is 65, And then my Least is around 59.
So... Should I try to lower my CPU Voltage Control some More,
Should I keep DDR OVER VOLTAGE CONTROL on Normal, And Same for FSB OverVoltage Control ( keep at normal).
When I voltage control do I have to then click System Voltage Optimized? Or can I leave it unoptimized?
Any suggestions, Obviously I have no clue what I'm doing, but I'm not frying my chip as of yet? I've been checking my Temperatures with RMA, not speedfan, I'm idlying at about 44- 45 C idle
