Abit IP35 Pro question. ( 2 Views )

1. Just got mine up and going and noticed there is a 4 pin power connection in the middle of the motherboard... I dont have this plugged in and everything seems fine as of right now. Is this somethign that is needed? Manual says this "This connector provides an auxilary power source for devices added on PCI express slots." So do I have to run this to the PSU or no?

2. I believe the general consensus is that if you're not running Crossfire, you don't need to bother.

3. The manual or something I read said it was for stability for the PCI slots, so unless you are using them all, I would not worry.
   
   I only have a GTX installed and no other cards, so I do not have it plugged in and have seen no issues.
