SOLVED - Turns out it had to do with relativity of files referenced within the action script itself...whoops :)
So I'm trying to put together a self contained video player/video library for my daughters website so that family far and wide can easily watch video clips that I have taken with my digital HDD camcorder and I figured that Flash would probably be the best way to do it for me. I have a little prior knowledge in basic Flash animation and stuff but nothing much in action scripting so I went to the web for help.

THIS TUTORIAL for pretty much exactly what I was hoping to build for my own site so I used it and built the exact thing the tutorial walks you through. It was glorious...behaved exactly the way I wanted with the open ended capabilities that would make it extremely easy to maintain and update and add videos to the site without continually having to work in Flash and recompile my swf file over and over.
Problem is, when I uploaded it to the web server the "playlist" that I had built into player according to the tutorial doesn't show up...which means the only video you can watch is the first in my playlist with no hope of watching any others. The thing I'm not understanding is that when I access the exact same files on my local hard drive the player works perfectly! Why is it that on the remote server it can't load the playlist?
Is anyone familiar enough with action scripting to give me some ideas? I'm actually very excited about action scripting now that I've got my feet wet but while I'm trying to learn it myself I would at least like for this example to work properly in the meantime...
