Anyway to Optimize BF2142? ( 2 Views )

1. So i got BF2142 and i love it....it runs at 10fps to 20 fps constantly never below 10 but i have experienced absolutely no stutter or lag even in big fights it constantly stays above 10fps but is there anyway to optimize the game even more? The specs im currently using are in my sig and running at 800 x 600 all low settings...

2. If you want better frames in BF2142, I recommend you get a new laptop. The one in your sig is garbage for gaming, as demonstrated by your slideshow FPS in BF2142.

3. theres no slideshow at all...it runs like butter no slow downs or nothing....but fraps says its only 10-20 frames...i just wanna try and crank up the frames a bit and maybe better graphics....and if u hadnt seen my sig my laptop is the Ultimate Gaming Machine...itll eat a Alienware M9750 for breakfast...

7. the best way to optimize 2142 is go to your add/remove programs list and click the button next to 2142 that says uninstall. ;)

   im dead serious! theres no lag whatsoever im playing like i do in cs:s at 45+ fps...only fraps is telling me im getting around 10-20 fps...perhaps fraps is broken?

9. lol what....10-20fps means my computer needs to be put out the pasture.

    That "cheapo" laptop has taken everything ive thrown at it and played it like a champ...it even plays oblivion fairly well...

    What resolution do you play at, if you don't mind me asking? Its physically not possible for that video card to play most newer games at anything over 5-10fps. Unless you're at 640x480 or 800x600 at least.

    If i told u i was at 1280x800 (widescreen hack) with everything maxed you would have a heart attack....
    
    its at 800 x 600 everything low except textures with view distance set at 88%, the default was actually 1028 x 728 with everything medium for some strange reason...

13. You're running everything on low @ lo-res? I know the distance scaler will have a big effect. But if you're only concern's what FRAPS is reporting, you're alright! ;)
