SitePoint Modifications ( 7 Views )

1. Hello.
   
   I really love everything about this forum that is being used on this site. I was thinking about purchasing the vBulletin for my own website, in the next week or two. I know that this forum script can be customized, and my question is, when I purchase the script from Jelsoft, will I have all the features of this board? If not, which features have been custom added, or modified by this community staff. I am trying to figure out what all I can and cannot do with the script before I purchase it.

   If you are refering to the article bot, you don't have to. Just insert the record into the thread and post table and, if you so desire, update the forum table to reflect the new post and update the article bot's post count.

   I wouldn't be surprised that vBulletin adds it. Like the quickreply hack, it's now an official feature (but wasn't at the time vBulletin2)

    12:00AM or 12:00PM? There's no indication of either and there's no way to know if that's military time or not.

    Yes - this board is more or less (give or take one or two small things!) what you will get in vBulletin version 3.0.0 beta
    
    vB3 is still in a beta stage, and if you were to use vBulletin 3 Beta 7 you would most likely have more features than the current (beta 2) we are running here.
    
    They still have vB version 2 which is stable and has been around for ages (you can upgrade whenever you like, and once you've purchased your licence you can download any version you like, whenever you like).

    Yes there was a mod like this at vB.org very recently!
    
    And no I don't think that tom is avaliable for hire as he is a full time employee with sitepoint (http://www.sitepoint.com.au/tom-rutter ) :p (Though I guess he'll confirm it ;) )
