The bottom point is that if you view any images over web you can also copy that images. No way you can stop it from hackers. What I said before based on digilogstudios problem. This is not for genral users. Yes, this is a tedious job but still workable if he have that time to do so.

It depends on how you code. You can always set priority to any objects you use. If you have three tables one after another, you can evan start showing your page with no.3 table. and no.35 images within that table and so on. Again it depends on what we want and how we want.:)

Are there anyone who will do this work using notepad. So whats the use of modern Image Editor. Make proper use of Image Editors and you will be able to code everything within one Table without using any divs or any other speacial tags for it, within a minute. Doing this atleast a person serious about his image will be able to save it from newbie hackers. This technique is not for everyone.

One reason that designers are moving away from tables for layout in droves is because they take so long to render in Web browsers. In many cases, the table won't even begin to show until the whole thing is rendered. With 100 cells that can take a while, no matter how small the graphics are in each cell. Add to that the fact that you're making 100+ server calls to effectively create one image and you have a site that's slow-loading, inaccessible, and a pain to use.
And about the notepad comment: A 100-cell table is still tedious even in Dreamweaver. Even if you did it in Photoshop with Save for Web and slicing, that's still 100 slices you have to draw out per image. It's a waste of time in any program, no matter how automated it gets.

Your images cannot escape my PrintScreen button, foolish designer!
Seriously, if you don't want people to use your images, don't put them on the web. If you mus put them on the web - watermark. Everything else is a waste of time, unless the people you target are very computer illiterate.

PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS!!!!
This makes those with handicaps jump through hurdles to get your site to work. Watermarking will protect your images - nothing else will - I can screen cap it, drag and drop to desktop, disable javascript, etc. etc. etc.
One of my old clients begged and pleaded for this functionality until I was able to show them how ineffective it was by putting it in place a stealing the images in a matter of seconds.
Anything that you have me download to view is gonna be "stealable" because it's on my system. I'm not viewing remotely. You may want to look into flash though if you are really going to do this.
Oh and the table idea or divs... again screen cap kills that puppy with the quickness.

Why disable right click to secure your pictures?
You can just drag and drop them to your desktop.

NOTE: digilogstudios, if you have time you can even make the download of your Web page very attractive by using this technique. Use a preloader script and arrange the splitted images in such a way that when the images get downloaded, it will give a Kalidoscope effect.

You could make a table and then make the background image of that table the picture you want and then put over it a transparent GIF...then when then try to copy the picture or anything they just get a transparent GIF....that would slow them down a bit....

Not agree. HTML: I will create a site with a 128bit encyption and apply. Though you will be able to download and whatever technique you said, but with a grabage  Image: the same Watermark encryption can be applied to images also. Atleast you will be able to track the culprit.
digilogstudios : The best short cut way is cut you lovebale images into 100 pieces (plz chck spelling) using photoshop and reorganise it into your DMX. The hacker will be in tough time to gather it into one place, if.... not he is a Dumbo like me who take Screen Shots of anything :)

That website's horrible! My god, you right click on anything, and a DHTML layer pops up behind absolutely everything.

Please don't do this. I can't stand when people disable right-clicking on a site. It just makes me disable javascript for kicks. :)

yeah thats the bad thing it's all over the page no matter where you are

http://www.spider-food.net has something like you want, and I believe it's using a javascript.

the right click feature is going on just a popupwindow that displays photo's and I want to just disable the target save-as ,so I figured just do a differnt menu with contact info on getting the pic
the rest of the site will allow right click

Buggy stuff is fun. I just made all kinds of crap happen on that site, and still ended up (in the end) getting the normal IE menu, lol.
Browse through http://www.dynamicdrive.com and see if you can find something similar to what that site has. Although I'd never visit that site again, because he's taking about my useability on the site. I use my right click menu, why would I want stuff I use taken away from me?
His code is not that important, if he's trying to hide it, although he says it's left "open". I looked at it anyway, and even found a reference to Dynamic Drive so that's probably where he got it.

Hmm...not sure you can do that...if you can I'm pretty sure it would be done using DHTML. You might could do a Google search for "DHTML scripts" or something of the sort.

I geuss the best Idea is not to disable the right click for the all usablity kind, thanks everyone for your comments you've changed that idea..hehe
