Special Convertors ( 4 Views )

1. Hello all,
   
   I have a laptop now, and it's got a headphone out (which I have connected to speakers ;) ), and a monitor out. It doesn't have any RCA or S-Video in/out or any in device (except mic).
   
   It does have a DVD player. Has anybody heard of a monitor out to S-Video/RCA adaptor so I could use the laptop as a DVD player on the televison? I have a minijack to [red and white] RCA cable which works great, so sound is no problem, but the video is hte main part anyway.:lol:
   
   My other enquiry was about a RCA/S-Video to USB adaptor, to be able to import pictures from my camcorder (which does not have any USB or firewire, it's high 8 and a few years old ;) ) and use it to get photos and for Windows Movie Maker. ;)
   
   Anybody know of either of these convertors?
   For those of you who dont' like reading, I'm looking for:
   
   a Monitor out to RCA Video or S-Video
   
   AND
   
   an S-video or RCA video to USB port.

2. Woah, amazing what google does for you. (Just clued in to look through google AFTER I posted.. I had only looked at a few shops I know of that I thought might have it. :p)

   P.S. The monitor to rca/s-video is more important for me and I asked the guys at staples and at radio shack with no sucess. I'm just curious if anybody's ever seen it.
